Where long ago I saw Picasso
Leading a parade to celebrate
Some forgotten, on my part,festival day
In this luminous city
Blue sky above, blue sea below
The sky here today
Covering this other city.
The city I live in now
Miles from what I recall
To be the beauty of place
The soft welcoming of pale pink stone
The sky today, the same sky
Which is still there
Maybe with warm suffusing pale sunshine
Heating all outside surrounding
So that here under the grey whitish sky
We know we share
The munificence of sky
Far away
